Why is an eBook on ProQuest eBook Central now unavailable to read?

Answer

eBooks on ProQuest eBook Central may be removed from the platform because of changes in publishers' rights and business models, or because of a publisher’s request to remove an older edition and replace it with a newer edition. The library tries to keep ProQuest eBook Central Collections up to date inline with their removal schedule, however, sometimes titles are removed from the ProQuest platform immediately because of a loss of rights and we don’t receive prior notification of these.
