Why am I getting an error message when searching the online library?

This does not happen very often and we apologies for the inconvenience, but when it does there are a few things we recommend you try:

This issue occurs when the database cannot validate your login credentials. It returns an error screen instead of allowing direct access to a particular title from the library’s collection. 

 

Remove the saved password from your Browser, here’s the instructions for Edge:

  1. Open the More actions menu (this will appear as three dotted lines in the upper right corner)
  2. Select Settings
  3. Type Passwords in the search area on the left
  4. Type the title of the database (i.e. EBSCO, Springer) in the search passwords area
  5. Click on the arrow next to the title of the database
  6. Click Delete (repeat if more than one entry for the database)
  7. Login to database via the library’s link
