How can I configure Google Scholar to recognise content subscribed to by ATU Library?

Answer

You can customize Google Scholar to provide full-text links to journal articles available through ATU Library subscriptions. If you are on campus Google Scholar should recognize you as a ATU user and link you to the full-text. If you are working remotely, off-campus, you will need to manually activate Google Scholar Library Links.

To do this:

1. Click on the Menu button.

2. Click on Settings.

3. Select Library Links.

4Search for ATU and make sure you click the ATU options that appear.

5. Make sure you click 'Save'.

Other Libraries

If you want to set up Google Scholar to show you subscribed eResources from other libraries that you have access to do steps 1-5 again searching for the library you wish to add.

A general tip about working off campus

ATU Library provide access to a wide range of electronic resources:  eBooks, eJournals, newspapers, databases, etc.  When you are working off campus it is necessary to identify yourself as a student or member of staff in order to access these resources.  You will be prompted to enter your ATU username and password at the Single Sign-on page at the point of access.
